EXCUSIONS FROM NAIROBI

Buffalo

4 HOURS NAIROBI NATIONAL PARKDeparts
Nairobi boast as the only city with national park at its door step. Nairobi National park is where lions, cheetahs, monkeys, buffalos, hippos and several species of plains game roam freely. Four of the big five are found here.



3 HOURS NAIROBI CITY TOUR
Pick you from your hotel, the guided tour will take you through the busting street and include places of historic interest like the parliament buildings, city market, snake park, national museum, Kenyatta mausoleum and major shopping areas in the city centre.

3 HOURS KAREN BLIXEN (out of Africa) AND GIRAFFE CENTRE Karen blixen is the original home of the talented writer and memorial to the woman admired universally provides a glimpse into the opportunity to come face to face and feed the tallest mammal in the world (giraffe).

3 HOURS BOMAS OF KENYA- Departs at 2.00 pm daily
You will have a chance to see Kenyan homesteads the original indigenous set up reflecting a cross board of Kenya’s different cultures, customs and traditions. The greatest experience is during the afternoons featuring this play of traditional music, dancing and songs performed in a splendid arena.


Carnivore Restaurant

2 HOURS CANIVORE EXPERIENCE This is the only restaurant you can have variety of game meat served in one meal. The succulent steaks and barbeque dishes will impart a lifetime experience in your tour. We strongly recommend dinner or lunch, most tourist do go to carnivore as a welcome or a farewell party (this means they go there on their first or last day of their holiday. Guaranteed daily at 12.30 pm and 7.00 pm.



3 HOURS RIFT VALLEY VIEW POINT
Drive through agricultural land to the view point of the great rift valley. Take a view of Mount Longonot and the chain of the great Rift Valley lakes, take memorable photos of this escarpment. Drive back to Nairobi via the view point of Nairobi city. The tour ends in your hotel or wherever you want to be dropped in the city centre.

3 HOURS SLUM TOUR

A slum

Pick you from your hotel then drive you to the biggest slums of Nairobi. This is a unique opportunity to experience a side of life that goes unseen by most tourist. You will be accompanied by your guide as you drive through the slum streets. You may be surprised how welcoming the people are, as you take the chance to pass sometime with them in their homes.



TEA PLANTATION
- 1/2 DAY Pick up from your hotel, leaving Nairobi to Kiambu Tea farms. And then Walk around the plantations with farm officials visit the caves and then later tea factory. Here you can see birds and some great animals, taste Kenya tea right from the factory.

1 DAY 14 FALLS AND OLDONYO SABUK NATIONAL PARK - Departs once daily Drive north to Thika town, visit the Chania falls, for those doing full day you can proceed to (14 falls) fourteen falls via pineapple plantations. Relax by the falls and have lunch. After lunch explore Oldonyo Sabuk National park, then proceed to Nairobi arriving in the evening. Price: $165pp

1 DAY MOUNT LONGONOT (HIKING) Depart from Nairobi after breakfast for this crater mountain. Drive through Agricultural land then to the view point of the great Rift valley brief stop, into the Rift Valley to Mount Longonot. Prepare for the climbing to the highest peak 3321 metres. Walk around the crater rim then proceed into the crater, have lunch, climb out of the crater then to Longonot town for transport back to Nairobi arriving in the evening.

Flamingoes

I DAY FLAMINGO PARADISE Drive west, descent down the escarpment wall into Rift Valley and drive to lake Nakuru National park. Seasonal home of millions of greater and laser flamingoes and many other birds and animals. Rhino sanctuary has been established here. After lunch ( included) you return via lake Naivasha for tea, arriving in Nairobi in time for sun down.


1 DAY HELLS GATE NATIONAL PARK
Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive through Rift Valley (lunch in Naivasha) Proceed to Hell’s gate national park past Fischer Tower. You will visit the geothermal plant and the hot water spring. Have a chance to see some wild life. Drive back to Nairobi arriving in the evening.

1 DAY NAIVASHA AND CRESCENT ISLAND Drive takes you down the escarpment and along the floor of the Rift Valley to the lake Naivasha. Successful vine- yards produce much of Kenya’s wine has been established After a guided tour, lunch consisting of local produce and wine beside the lake. A boat ride takes you to a nearby Island where you walk amongst the plain game and enjoy the bird life. Return to Nairobi arriving in the evening.

1 DAY NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK / CANIVORE / BOMAS OF KENYA
Leave Nairobi at 7.30 am for Nairobi national park. Game drive in search of animals such as lion, rhino, cheetah, giraffes etc. Then proceed to carnivore restaurant for lunch, continue to Bomas of Kenya for cultural dances and a visit to the African villages.

Elephant

1 DAY AMBOSELI EXPRESS
Depart early morning to give you enough time game watching. Amboseli National park is situated within the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Game drive, then lunch, after lunch another game drive in search of lion, elephant and spotted cheetah are all likely to be seen here. Return to Nairobi in time for dinner.

1 DAY LAKE MAGADI
Depart Nairobi after breakfast, drive past the Ngong hills into maasai land though the Rift Valley onto lake Magadi, this is where soda ash is produced. Do a game drive in search of different animals and birds including flamingos. Drive back to Nairobi arriving in the evening.

1 DAY MOUNT KENYA(MAU MAU CAVES)
After breakfast drive through Agricultural land of the Kikuyu people to Nanyuki town. Walk on the base of Mount Kenya into Mau Mau caves. Mau Mau rebellion which led Kenya to independence came from the word Uma Uma which means leave- leave in Kikuyu language, that is what the freedom fighters were telling the colonial government, but the British people could not pronounce it right, until now it is known as Mau Mau instead of Uma Uma. The caves were the hide outs of the freedom fighters during the struggle for freedom. From the caves you will visit the equator line then proceed to Nairobi arriving in the evening and then depart for Nairobi.
